Today, we were crowned IIHF U18 Women’s World Champions.
Yesterday, we surpassed our 23-24 season registrations record, and have more than 110,000 girls playing hockey in Canada.
Last week, we announced a historic five year agreement to proudly host five (5!) Women’s World Championships in as many years:
– 2026 U18 Women’s Worlds
– 2027 Women’s World Championship
– 2028 U18 Women’s Worlds
– 2030 Women’s World Championship
– 2030 U18 Women’s Worlds
…AND, we launched a national survey as part of our research Building the Future of Women’s & Girls’ Hockey, to ensure that we can learn from, and hear from, the critical voices that make up our hockey ecosystem. In less than 48 hrs, the positive response was overwhelming.
As I said in Ottawa, it’s no secret that women’s hockey and women’s sport continues to soar to new heights, but this momentum is far from complete. It’s foot on the gas, and driving for more; more opportunities, more growth, more optimism and exposure. When you can See it, you can Be it.
