Skating Consultant | San Jose Sharks
Cathy is a professional skating development coach and the skating consultant for the San Jose Sharks. She has been a skating coach for 40 years (exclusively hockey skating for 25 years). She started her pro coaching career in Calgary, Canada (1984) after achieving (CFSA/Skate Canada) Triple Gold Figure Skating & NCCP coaching certifications.
Cathy established Power Hour (1998), the Bay Area’s first formal hockey power skating program and she opened Extra Hour Hockey Training (2018), California’s largest synthetic ice skill development facility which houses Northern California’s only skating treadmill. She added a second hockey training facility in 2023 inside the San Jose Sharks Fremont rink.
